A sneak peek at HIIT in Glasgow’s West End.

We keep things varied at P.H.I.T. Yes it is all based on High Intensity Interval Training but we like to mix it up. We use weights, theraband, kettle bells and of course bodyweight. There is not only one way to do Hiit. This video shows our “PHIT-letes” working out during a “Legs Day”. As you can see they are working hard but we like to have fun too. So if you want to take part in some HIIT in Glasgow’s West End, come along to Sanctuary nightclub. Classes are Monday & Wednesday at 18:30.

Who needs a gym? You can work out at home or outside and achieve your fitness goals- to get stronger, build muscle, improve your toning or lose weight. You can also train on the awesome dance floor at Sanctuary nightclub in the West End of Glasgow. It’s a great atmosphere and you can see from the video, our “PHIT-letes” work hard but keep things good fun too.

P.H.I.T is run by two former Commonwealth Games athletes, competing for Scotland at Rugby 7s and Cycling. Every Monday and Wednesday they run fitness classes at Glasgow’s finest nightclub, The Sanctuary. DJ inspired Playlists, motivational lighting and expert tuition creates a fantastic atmosphere to work out.

Hiit training is hugely beneficial for a number of reasons. Important ones are:

  • it boosts your metabolism for hours after you stop. This means you will burn calories at a more efficient rate way after you stop exercising when compared to steady state work-outs.
  • it is a far more efficient way of burning calories compared to steady state exercise.
  • it’s good fun. There are countless ways of doing Hiit and short, sharp sessions can be really varied.
